Bio: I am all things to all people. As long as people are looking for a mom with diverse interests and a homebound tendency to look through the window of life and wish (or imagine) something just a little bit different. I am like the Tardis on Doctor Who. I am much bigger on the inside.

    1. Thank you…I just discovered this comments section because yours popped up and I saw it blink. I am very techno-challenged. But, I am having fun figuring it out.

Do you find yourself suffering more carpal-tunnel syndrome symptoms now that you blog? I must have horrible posture or something.

      1. I don’t tend to suffer from carpal tunnel/RSI problems as I was fortunate enough to learn both the correct posture and to touch-type at college, many years ago. The price for that was that I spent too many years typing other people’s letters before making progress in a career. But nowadays, with so much of modern life revolving around a keyboard or keypad, I’m glad I have those skills. Pilates too, helps do much with posture, which is so important with desk-based work.

As for seeing comments etc, I use the WordPress App on my iPad, and on my PC, I get WordPress to email me when someone comments on my blog (go to settings for this). Both good ways to make sure you don’t miss anything. If you have an iPad, the WordPress App is great for keeping up with blogs you follow, comments and even stats – very easy to get to grips with!

      2. Thank you for the advice. I had typing in school and I know, theoretically, to hold my hands at a level approach to the keys. But laziness overrides good form. I am working on the ‘keeping up’ with blogging. I do enjoy coming up with the topics, but I might find the tracking everyone’s email replies daunting. Kudos to you for tackling that particular challenge with finesse!

  2. hi and thanks for reading and following my words. i look forward to doing the same for you. yes, i have been having horrible, beth carpal tunnel issues since blogging, and i consider it a ‘blog injury’ which people are not too sympathetic about, not as sexy as a ‘sports injury.’ ) best, beth

  3. Thanks so much for finding me and deciding to follow. But heading a list of bloggers you “envy?” That does leave me speechless — an event which rarely happens when I’m awake. Thank you squared? Thank you to the third power?

Anyway, I hope not to disappoint, and look forward to enjoying your own posts, too. Although I must say your disclaimer of technological newbie-ness is not convincing. You’ve got much more complicated stuff going on here (besides the lovely writing, of course) than I could ever hope to attempt. Writing itself just about does me in! 😀

    1. So…would it be devastating to learn that the system automatically sorts my ‘favorites’ based on the most recent? I will say, I did envy your eloquence in stating your opinion in a way that was not insulting or offensive. I have the opposite talent: I can wound with a compliment. (See above.)

  4. Hi Kirizar. I just saw your question about the Amway Grand Dessert Wars. I’d love to go, but I’m not sure if I’ll be out of a board meeting in time. It usually runs from 6 to 8. I’d be happy to meet up with you another time, though! It would be fun to meet another blogger from Michigan! Best, Patti

    1. Patti, It was an aptly named event. But the battle wasn’t between the bakers but rather the over-crowded venue stuffed with over-eager patrons with elbows a-flying trying to get near the dessert tables. War is hell…and is paved with chocolate sauce. I will be posting my war stories just as soon as I wake from my sugar-induced coma.

      1. Consider yourself lucky. I do…I survived mostly unscathed. Current post has lots of drool-worth photos. Make sure you aren’t easily influenced or you’ll find yourself driving to a bakery without even realizing it.

    1. Yeah, that’s the great thing about blogging, you do get to spy into other people’s minds. It is very gratifying to find a mind you can enjoy as much as you enjoy your own thoughts. I look forward to keeping up with your blog even as the summer days lure me with the promise of sunshine and a fresh breeze.
